MerchantCircle Acquires TimeBridge to Offer Superior Online Scheduling Capabilities to 1.3 million Local Business Owners
TimeBridge CEO Yori Nelken will Assume Role of Chief Technology Officer for MerchantCircle
September 22, 2010 | Mountain View, CA — MerchantCircle, the largest online network of local business owners, said today that it has completed an acquisition of TimeBridge, Inc., the company that develops ways to help busy professionals schedule and run meetings. TimeBridge launched its first free personal meeting scheduler application in late 2007 and today has grown to nearly 600,000 consumers and 25,000 businesses that use it to optimize and organize their meeting time. The company has developed both web and mobile applications for the product which will continue to be supported by MerchantCircle moving forward. TimeBridge is based in Berkeley, California with offices in Rehovot, Israel.

As part of the acquisition agreement, Yori Nelken, CEO and founder of TimeBridge has been named Chief Technology Officer of MerchantCircle, a role he will assume immediately. Nelken brings with him more than 25 years of engineering and product development experience. He founded Banter, (acquired by IBM) in 1997 to help companies effectively deal with the flood of email communication with their customers. Prior to Banter, Yori directed engineering for Octel Communications, where he pioneered the evolution of IVR development tools used for integrated e-commerce applications.
Since launching in 2005, MerchantCircle has grown to become the largest online network of local business owners with over 1.3 million merchant members using its suite of free and premium tools to connect with local consumers on the web.
